About Furtenbach GmbH
Furtenbach GmbH is a medium-sized Austrian manufacturer of binders, synthetic resins and refractory coatings for the foundry industry, headquartered in Wiener Neustadt. The product range includes cold-box and hot-box binder systems (resins, activators and additives), cold-curing furan, blended and phenolic resins with acid hardeners featuring strongly reduced sulphur content, as well as 3D printing resin systems for the printed-core process based on furfuryl alcohol, phenol and renewables. The water-based and alcohol-based coatings for series casting, lost-foam, medium and heavy casting, steel casting, manganese steel and iron casting are offered as a modular system with a structurally engineered 3D structure. In the industrial products sector, resins for resol rigid foam insulation, PUR resins for concrete formwork, binders for feeders as well as fire-resistant and refractory coatings and adhesives are also produced. At its Wiener Neustadt site, Furtenbach GmbH operates its own production units for synthetic resins, hardeners and coatings as well as storage areas for raw materials and finished goods. The company was founded in 1857 and is part of the Austrian Schmid Industrieholding (SIH Group) with around 100 companies in 27 countries.
