About Futonics Laser
Futonics Laser GmbH develops and manufactures high-power thulium fiber lasers in the wavelength range 1908–2050 nm as well as related optical systems for industrial, medical, and scientific applications. The portfolio includes CW lasers with up to 400 W output power, QCW systems with up to 1200 W peak power — also available as an air-cooled variant for medical OEM systems — as well as collimators, processing heads, and F-Theta scan lenses for 2-µm integration. The 2-µm wavelength is intrinsically absorbed by water and many polymers, enabling applications such as welding transparent plastics without absorbers, microfluidic joining, contactless food marking (natural branding), and OEM laser systems for endourological lithotripsy. In addition to standard products, the company offers custom OEM development, laser and fiber services, and accessory components. The systems are developed and manufactured in Germany; the interdisciplinary team of physicists and mechanical, electrical, and software engineers as well as skilled professionals brings many years of experience from the laser industry.
