About FVK GmbH

FVK GmbH Dessau has been operating as a manufacturer of fibre-reinforced plastic products since 1992. The company produces complex GRP components as well as CFRP and aramid parts directly to customer order – from custom-made one-off items through mock-ups and prototypes to pre-series and series production in modular construction. The process spectrum includes hand lay-up, vacuum pressing, autoclave processes, injection processes (RTM/RIM), winding, cold pressing and fibre spraying; in addition, model and mould making, bonding, welding, surface finishing, automotive-quality painting as well as completion and assembly of assemblies are offered. Design, dimensioning, FEM strength verification and 3D digital measurement are carried out in cooperation with long-standing partners. Materials processed include glass fibre materials (mats, rovings, fabrics, non-crimp fabrics), carbon fibres and aramid with polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy resins as well as foam cores for sandwich elements. The focus is on large-volume components for industrial companies, including from rail transport, aerospace, motorsport and shipbuilding. Sales markets are Germany, Europe, USA, Australia, China and the Middle East.

Materials and Manufacturing Processes

GFK

Glass fibre-reinforced plastic

Main material for highly stressed components with excellent moulding properties produced to customer order.

CFK

Carbon fibre-reinforced plastic

For mechanically highly stressed components, e.g. in aerospace and motorsport.

Aramid

Aramid fibres

Fibre reinforcement for demanding applications alongside glass and carbon fibres.

UP/VE/EP

Polyester, vinyl ester and epoxy resin

Laminating resins for impregnating the glass, carbon and aramid fibre reinforcements.

Sandwich

PUR and Divinycell foam

Core materials of various densities for the production of sandwich elements.
