About Mertgens
G. Mertgens & Co. GmbH is a plastics engineering specialist based in Meinerzhagen that manufactures technical plastic products using the injection moulding process. The company supports projects from the initial idea through development, consulting and fill simulation to design, tool and mould making and series production. The injection moulding operations employ single-, two- and three-colour as well as component injection moulding technology including multi-component, insert and overmoulding techniques; the Arburg injection moulding machines offer clamping forces of up to 550 tonnes and process virtually all thermoplastics. Surface finishing, such as aluminium vapour deposition, printing, electroplating, painting and laser marking, as well as module assembly, complete the value chain together with long-standing partners. Customers come from the automotive, electronics, industrial and medical sectors. The family business, founded in 1969 in Schalksmühle, is run in its second generation by Dominik Mertgens.
