About G. Vollberg Maschinenbau
G. Vollberg Maschinenbau GmbH, based in Usingen around 30 km northwest of Frankfurt, is a family-owned company with a metalworking tradition going back more than 100 years. The two core areas of production are machining and welding: in the turning department, work is carried out with driven tools and bar feeders, while CNC-controlled machining centres produce components on 3 to 5 axes; supplemented by drilling and grinding. In the welding area, welding robots (OTC) produce safety-relevant MIG/MAG welded assemblies in series with repeatable precision, while MIG/MAG, TIG and brazing/soldering work is carried out at manual welding stations. Surface treatments such as sandblasting, glass bead blasting, galvanizing, powder coating, anodizing and hardening are offered via long-standing partner companies, complemented by assembly of complete assemblies. The production range extends from lot size 1 to series production. Customers can be found among others in commercial vehicle engineering, medical technology, filtration technology, mechanical engineering and telecommunications.
