Gämmerler Kieswerke Königsdorf GmbH has been extracting and processing mineral raw materials such as sand, gravel, chippings and mineral concrete from the Isar valley since the 1950s. Extraction takes place in the gravel pits of Gämmerler-Hütwohl GmbH & Co. KG in Königsdorf and Wackersberg; processing, refinement and storage take place at the gravel plant in Königsdorf-Wiesen. The portfolio comprises washed and graded aggregates (round material) such as concrete sand, chippings gravel, mixed gravel and coarse gravel, as well as crushed materials such as chippings, premium chippings, crushed sand, mineral mixtures and hydraulic engineering stone. Customers include primarily the concrete industry, road construction and landscaping companies as well as municipal and regional construction; private customers can collect small quantities directly. With its own vehicle fleet, the company supplies construction sites in the region and recultivates the extraction areas after completion of extraction into local recreation areas, biotopes or agricultural and forestry land.
