Galerie Schwing at Johannisplatz 10 is a framing workshop in the centre of Jena, in the immediate vicinity of the Johannis Gate and the Neue Mitte. Its services include picture framing, picture and frame restoration, frame making, model framing with gilding work, computer-controlled manufactured passe-partouts as well as object framing for keepsakes and three-dimensional objects. For glazed pictures, among other things, interference-optically anti-reflective glass is used, which can also be inserted into existing frames afterwards. Well-trained specialists advise on all framing services and develop creative solutions for restoration and reframing. The workshop was opened over 40 years ago by Jutta Schwing; for the 40th business anniversary, Jena TV produced a television feature about the business.
