About Ganeos
The Ganeos AG (until September 2025 Erdgas Ostschweiz AG) is a Transport System Operator (TSO) for Eastern Switzerland and the Greater Zurich area. The company operates a gas high-pressure network of around 600 kilometers, which connects the Zurich region with Lake Constance and with Chur/Cazis and links international feed-in points with regional distribution networks and large industrial consumers. In addition to network operation, Ganeos offers technical services: network access and balancing zone responsibility, energy data management, plan information, project management for gas and network infrastructure as well as support for third-party construction projects in the vicinity of high-pressure pipelines including ERI approval procedures. The value chain ranges from technical consulting and project planning through construction supervision and pipeline construction (underground installation of steel high-pressure pipelines above 5 bar) to safe network operation with route inspections and emergency operation. Reference projects include the gas connection of the Birr reserve power plant, the Rhesi flood protection project on the Alpine Rhine, the runway extension of Zurich Airport and the pipeline bypass following the landslide near Lütisburg. The quality and environmental management system is certified according to ISO 9001 and ISO 14001. The head office is in Zurich, the visitor and delivery address is Schlieren.
