About Ganz Baukeramik

Ganz Baukeramik AG is a Swiss family-owned company based in Embrach ZH with around 200 years of experience in architectural and stove ceramics. In its own manufactory, reproductions of historical ceramics – wall and floor tiles as well as façade elements made of glazed ceramic or clinker – are produced for listed and culturally valuable buildings. Production uses the RAM pressing process with hydraulic presses, supplemented by in-house clay preparation, own glaze development and firing at various temperature zones for shading effects; decors and borders are applied by hand, true to the original. In addition to the manufactory with the product lines Manufaktur.KLINKER (up to 14.8 × 20 × 1.2 cm) and Manufaktur.PLÄTTLI (14.8 × 14.8 × 0.8 cm), the company offers stove ceramics such as the massive ceramic stone IN.PULS, tiled stoves and wood-burning stoves (including swissfirecube) as well as service work for wood-burning stoves. Customers include the Federal Office for Buildings and Logistics (Swiss National Museum Zurich) and the Evangelical Reformed Church Community of Lucerne; the manufactory's contact person is master ceramicist Lucian Kainz.
