About Gastrolux
Gastrolux GmbH, based in Steffenberg, is a manufacturer of high-quality cast frying and cookware. All production takes place in Ryomgård, Denmark, where the company has been producing pans, pots, woks, roasters, specialty pans and glass lids since the 1960s. The base material is predominantly recycled aluminium, which is compacted in a squeeze casting process at 620 °C under 200 tonnes of pressure; for induction cooktops, a magnetic plate is cast in using an innovative process. The products are then given the proprietary surface coating Biotan or Biotan Plus with biominerals for high abrasion resistance. The product range is aimed at end consumers in the housewares sector and is distributed through an own online shop, specialty retailers and a retail store in Steffenberg. In addition, Gastrolux offers recoating of older frying and cookware and provides a 3-year warranty.
