About Gastrolux-Biotan
Gastrolux-Biotan manufactures cookware made from cast aluminium at its own plant in Ryomgård, Denmark, where cast parts have been produced since the 1960s. Every piece is made using the squeeze-casting process from EN AB 43200 based on recycled aluminium from Scandinavia, with an 8 mm thick dimensionally stable base. The cast surfaces are sandblasted and triple-coated in-house: BIOTAN PLUS is a PTFE-based system from Weilburger (GREBLON C3+), while the EVO series uses a PFAS-free silicone-based coating and is made exclusively with an induction base. A laser code on the base makes every piece traceable back to the production batch. The range includes serving, high-sided and grill pans, roasters and pots, as well as glass lids made of Pyrex borosilicate glass; distribution is direct via the company's own online shop, complemented by a pan re-coating service in Germany.
