About us

The Gaststätte Brauerei Etzel in Amorbach in the Odenwald traces back to the Brauhaus Etzel with its tavern, founded in 1799, and has been developed over generations into a family-run restaurant. It is operated by Norbert Förtig and Ilona Schell. The offerings include freshly tapped beers, hearty Franconian cuisine, vegetarian dishes, seasonal specialities and changing daily specials. The modern dining rooms offer 60 and 35 seats respectively, while the beer garden with children's playground offers 60 seats. In addition, there is a catering service with hot and cold buffets, finger food, cold platters, soups and desserts, as well as the organisation of events such as business dinners, family celebrations and club festivities. Festive menus for special occasions and a child-friendly menu round out the offerings.
