Full-service provider for rail vehicles from Brandenburg

GBM Gleisbaumechanik Brandenburg/H. GmbH is a full-service provider for rail vehicles based in Brandenburg an der Havel (Kirchmöser district). The company develops, designs, manufactures and commissions rail infrastructure vehicles, including track maintenance vehicles such as the GAF 100, overhead line maintenance vehicles, rail milling trains, measuring vehicles as well as special trailers and ore tipper wagons. In addition to new builds, GBM modernizes existing vehicles, for example with new loading cranes, hydrostatic working drive systems, ETCS safety technology or soot particulate filters, and performs major inspections, overhauls, demand-based and accident repairs. An in-house wheelset workshop, modernized in 2021, processes more than 300 wheelsets per year with tread diameters of 360 to 1100 mm, including non-destructive testing (VT, PT, MT, UT). In addition, mobile service teams offer a 24/7/52 on-site service throughout Germany. The Kirchmöser site looks back on more than 100 years of history as a Reichsbahn repair works; since 2002 GBM has belonged to the General Atomics Europe Group. A second site in Mittenwalde is used, among other things, for real estate leasing.
