Gebr. Achner Kieswerk-Fuhrunternehmen GmbH was founded in 1936 by Max and Maria Achner in Krün and is today run in its third generation by the grandchildren Max, Hubert and Josef Achner. At the gravel plant in Wallgau, the family business produces quality-monitored sand and gravel products in various grain sizes, including anti-frost gravel, mineral mixtures, concrete gravel, premium chippings, crushed stone, hydraulic engineering stones and boulders. In addition, the excavation operation offers earthworks of all kinds: excavation work, demolition work, road construction, natural stone walls, cable and pipeline trenches, levelling and rock work with a hydraulic hammer, as well as work with wheel loaders, rollers and bulldozers. A modern fleet of vehicles handles transports and construction site traffic, while the container operation, as a qualified waste management company, disposes of construction rubble, concrete demolition, tar-free asphalt and uncontaminated excavated soil (Z0). Customers are the local construction industry in the district of Garmisch-Partenkirchen and the Upper Isar Valley; delivery is ex works or to the construction site.
