About Gebr. Diekötter KG

Gebr. Diekötter KG is a raw materials and recycling company in Gütersloh, founded in 1920 and now run by the fourth generation. The company accepts scrap and metals from private households, trade businesses, municipalities, the manufacturing industry, the metalworking trade and public authorities, returning them to the economic cycle as secondary raw materials. The range of services includes scrap collection by truck and skip bins or roll-off containers (5–40 cbm), a skip service with exchange or collection within 24 hours, as well as sorting and loading with mobile handling excavators. Scrap is cut to the required minimum size with scrap shears and cutting torches. Oily chips and punching waste are stored in a weather-protected hall. A structured yard system with separate storage bays ensures grade purity; weighing is carried out on a public road-vehicle scale with a payload of up to 30 t as well as a digital 50-tonne scale. The processed scrap is delivered to steelworks and metal smelters. Since 1998 the company has been certified as a specialist disposal company under §§ 56, 57 KrWG.
