Gebr. Rappo AG, headquartered in Plaffeien (Canton of Fribourg), has been active in agricultural and forestry technology since 1965. From a small mechanical workshop, the family-owned company has grown into a full-range supplier of agricultural, forestry and municipal technology. In addition to importing and distributing machines from renowned manufacturers (including Pfanzelt, PTH Products and Valtra), the company has been developing and manufacturing its own special machines for forestry applications for over 40 years, including the radio-remote-controlled engine-powered winch Waldrapp, hydraulic power units and radio remote controls. The 5000 m² site in Plaffeien houses the workshop, a spare parts warehouse with over 36'000 items, a large-component adjustment hall and exhibition halls. The workshop is equipped with a 30-t rail lift and three overhead cranes (lifting capacities up to 10 t). Services include repairs on site and in the workshop, customer service in Switzerland and Liechtenstein, MFK vehicle preparation and the testing of winches on a certified test bench. The company also operates a 2 MW wood-chip district heating plant that supplies around 100 customers with heat all year round.
