About Gebr. Steimel

Gebr. Steimel GmbH & Co. Maschinenfabrik, based in Hennef (Sieg), develops and produces pumps, industrial centrifuges, chip crushers, chip conveyors and industrial plant systems. The pump range includes gear pumps (including the SF and TF series), rotary lobe/circulating piston pumps (SKK, HKK), gerotor motor block pumps (GMB) as well as cooling and motor water centrifugal pumps for diesel and marine diesel engines. In the centrifuge sector, the company offers, among others, the rework centrifuge Schoko-Polar for chocolate recovery, oil separation centrifuges for metal chip processing, and fully automatic surface treatment systems for washing, drying and coating mass-produced parts. In addition, complete chip processing systems including conveying and separation technology are engineered. Materials include, among others, grey cast iron, cast steel (GS 45), phosphor bronze and stainless steel. Customers come from industries such as the confectionery and food industry, the paint and lacquer industry, chemicals, petrochemicals, bitumen/asphalt technology, shipbuilding and gearbox manufacturing; major manufacturers of large engines are among the customer base. Sales and service are provided worldwide via a network of sales partners.

Materials & Processes

GJL

Grey cast iron

Pump housing parts, especially for shipping; until 1925 Steimel produced cast blanks in its own iron foundry.

GS 45

Cast steel GS 45

Material for gear pumps with DIN or ANSI flange, among others for petrochemical applications with Ex motors.

Phosphorbronze

Phosphor bronze

Material for housing parts of seawater-resistant pumps in marine service.

1.43xx

Stainless steel

Hygiene rotary lobe/circulating piston pumps (HKK) available entirely in stainless steel for the food sector, suitable for CIP and SIP.
