Gebrauchtmacs.de GmbH operates an online shop for used and refurbished IT hardware under the Maconline brand, with a focus on Apple products. Founded in 1998 and based in Bad Sassendorf, the company tests, cleans and refurbishes used Macs, iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, accessories as well as server and network technology in standardized processes. Every device undergoes a quality inspection with more than 40 control points, cosmetic refurbishment, a software reset and a battery replacement in case of more than 15 percent capacity loss. The refurbishment follows four transparent condition grades from like-new to acceptable. Via the buy-back platform ankauf.maconline.de, the company takes back old devices from private and business customers into the circular economy. Since 2019, the company has operated from its technology and logistics center in Bad Sassendorf covering 10,000 sqm, which is powered entirely by renewable energies, including a solar system. Customers are private individuals, business customers and educational institutions across Europe.
