About the Schill-Hof
The Schill-Hof is a family-run farm in March-Buchheim near Freiburg im Breisgau, run by the brothers Ramon and Ralf Schill in the third generation. The farm practises organic agriculture with a varied crop rotation – including clover grass, wheat, potatoes, soybeans, rye, spelt and field vegetables – as well as viticulture in the Buchheimer Rebstuhl vineyard. Cultivation according to Bioland guidelines is inspected and monitored by the Bioland Association and the responsible control bodies. In viticulture, in addition to traditional varieties such as Müller-Thurgau, Grauburgunder, Spätburgunder and Weißburgunder, fungus-resistant grape varieties are also grown in order to reduce plant protection and promote biodiversity in the vineyard. Alongside agriculture and viticulture, the farm operates an event location: the former Straußenwirtschaft (seasonal wine tavern) offers space for around 60 people indoors and around 90 people in the covered outdoor area with a meadow. It is available exclusively for corporate celebrations, summer parties, anniversaries, birthdays and weddings. The team advises and supports customers with their event, provides a selection of wines and beverages and coordinates catering with regional providers.
