The Company
Since 1994, GEFO Folienbetrieb GmbH has produced packaging film on a polypropylene basis at its Gera site. The product GEFO-PROP is a CPP film considered the optimal packaging film for all products packed in bags. The company focuses exclusively on the production of roll goods; the conversion of film into bags as well as printing of the film is deliberately not performed by GEFO, but by the customers themselves or by specialized partners. Product quality is ensured by a motivated team, high investments in machinery and equipment, and the use of high-quality raw materials; 50 percent of the production process consists of quality controls. The company is certified according to DIN EN ISO 9001:2015 and, based on a customer-oriented approach, offers tailored film solutions for special requirements. From February 2021, GEFO conducted a subsidized energy analysis at its Gera site to increase energy efficiency.
