GEIER Metall- und Stahlhandel GmbH is a metal trading company founded in 1979 by Hubert Geier, based in Mannheim-Rheinau. The company supplies aluminium, copper, brass, bronze/gunmetal, stainless steel, special materials and engineering plastics in the form of sheets, plates, bars, profiles, tubes and perforated plates. In its own sawing operation, cuttings are produced to fixed dimensions: with four plate saws, materials up to 200 mm thickness are cut with a tolerance of ±0.3 mm; two circular saws produce discs and rings up to 2000 mm outer diameter; a lever shear cuts stainless steel up to 6 mm thickness with a 3000 mm cutting length; and four band saw automat machines cut round bars up to 800 mm diameter, also in large quantities. On request, the company applies protective film to sheets up to 10 mm material thickness. A broad product range is kept in stock at two warehouse locations with a combined area of over 4500 sqm; sales are handled via an online ordering and enquiry form, with delivery by the company's own truck fleet. The family business is now managed by Wolfgang and Thomas Geier and employs around 30 staff.
