About Geislinger
Geislinger GmbH is a family-owned company that develops and produces powertrain solutions for high-performance drivetrains. The portfolio comprises torsional vibration dampers (steel spring and viscous dampers), torsionally elastic high-damping couplings, misalignment couplings, maintenance-free composite shaft lines, and monitoring systems for torsional vibrations as well as digital services. The products are used, among other applications, in shipping, wind power, power generation, rail transport, off-highway applications, industrial applications, motorsport, and testing and development applications. After the products are sold, global subsidiaries and service partners handle the after-sales business. The Geislinger coupling, invented in 1958 by Dr.-Ing. Leonhard Geislinger, works with radially arranged leaf springs in a closed steel housing, which, immersed in oil, enable hydraulic damping. Customers include, among others, the container shipping company CPO, whose fleet was equipped in 2021 with the Mk6 monitoring system and a five-year subscription to Geislinger Digital Services.
