About GEMED mbH
GEMED Gesellschaft für medizinisches Datenmanagement mbH, headquartered in Ulm, develops, produces and implements modular image and data management systems (RIS/PACS) for hospitals, office-based radiologists and orthopedics. The fully in-house developed product range includes PACS, RIS, a vendor-neutral repository (VNA), dose management, ECM/document management, PACS integration, portals for patient communication as well as modules for structured reporting in cardiology, endoscopy, pathology and ophthalmology. The system architecture is modular and scalable – from the entry-level and departmental solution through the enterprise version to the multi-tenant multisite solution for hospital networks – and communicates IHE-compliant with imaging modalities and RIS/KIS systems from various manufacturers. The image and data management system is certified as Class IIb. Around 80 employees support nearly 600 customers in Europe; in addition to the Ulm headquarters, there is a branch office in Freiburg as well as locations in the Netherlands and Belgium. Since 2017, the company has operated as RVC Medical IT under the NEXUS / Enterprise Imaging brand.
