About GENERA Mission Eyewear
Genera Printer GmbH, based in Vienna, develops and markets the G1/F1 in-shop system for 3D printing of eyewear frames directly in the optician's store under the Mission Eyewear brand. The system consists of the G1, a DLP resin printer with shuttle technology and a build volume of 134 × 76 × 140 mm at 70 µm resolution, and the F1 post-processing unit, in which the frames are automatically washed in two cleaning tanks (IPA), dried and cured with a mercury flash lamp under an optional inert atmosphere. The entire workflow is RFID-tracked and fully automated; up to 1,000 eyewear frames per year are possible per system. The material used is Digital Acetate, a biocompatible photopolymer resin developed jointly with Henkel Loctite, which can be processed transparent, translucent or opaque in over 40 standard colors or in any color tone via the C1 color mixing system. Customers are independent opticians, optical chains and eyewear labels; the design library includes collections by Philipp Haffmans and Sébastien Brusset as well as a customizer app with 3D scan adjustment.

Quality
Digital Acetate meets all standards for eyewear and has been tested for skin irritation, cytotoxicity and sensitization; in addition, it passed a UV aging test according to automotive standard with better stability than standard materials such as acetate. The G1/F1 system is compliant with CE, FCC and IC (Canada).
