General Acoustics e.K. is a technology manufacturer of measurement systems based in Kiel on the Kiel Fjord. Founded in 1996 by physicists and engineers as a spin-off of a university research team for acoustics and sensor technology, the company produces special echo sounders, water level and wave sensors, and flow measurement systems based on ultrasonic and remote sensing technology. The product portfolio includes the calibration-free wave measurement system ULS Advanced, the water level and wave measurement station LOG_aLevel, the UltraLab systems for hydraulic laboratories, and the Sub-Bottom Profilers SUBPRO 1210 and SUBPRO2545 for sediment detection from 1.5 m shallow water. In addition to product development, General Acoustics offers hydrographic surveying, data processing, custom monitoring and software solutions, as well as worldwide installation, commissioning and training.
