General Petroleum GmbH (GP Lubricants) is a lubricant manufacturer with its corporate headquarters in Frankfurt am Main and production and warehouse facilities in the Hamriyah Free Zone in Sharjah (UAE). The company develops and blends engine oils for diesel, petrol and motorcycle engines, hydraulic and transmission oils (including ISO VG 32, 46, 68), gear oils and greases, marine oils, compressor oils, antifreeze and coolants as well as car care products. Its products serve the automotive, construction and heavy machinery (excavators, cranes, JCB equipment), mining, transport and logistics, agriculture, marine and manufacturing industries. In addition to Plant 1 and a storage terminal in Sharjah, GP maintains branches in Tanzania, Uganda and Pakistan and supplies markets in Europe, Asia, Africa and the USA. In May 2025, GP Lubricants obtained REACH conformity for its products; the fully synthetic engine oil GP Petrogen SAE 5W-30 is approved according to VW 504 00 and VW 507 00.
