About the Genius Group

Since 2010, Genius Technologie GmbH has been developing and manufacturing solutions for the fire protection, transport and storage of lithium-ion batteries. At the core of the product families is the patented fire protection granulate PyroBubbles®, a mineral, inert glass granulate that suppresses fires, condenses vapors and binds electrolytes – thermally resistant up to +1050 °C, reusable and free of fluorinated additives. The portfolio includes UN-compliant plastic transport containers (VG2) and foldable FLEX-Line boxes, steel boxes made of stainless steel and galvanized steel (VG1) including BAM approval according to ADR P911/LP906 for critically defective battery systems, Storage storage containers, test bench containers for performance limit tests as well as fire protection bags, blankets and the Bengalo Safe. The container systems are developed including 3D design, fire tests and certification according to ADR, RID, IATA and IMDG. Customers from electromobility, logistics and research – including Porsche, Mercedes-Benz, Volkswagen, Rimac and Scania – rely on these solutions. The company works at the interface of research and industry, among others with BAM, MPA, Fraunhofer and Otto von Guericke University Magdeburg.
