About the cooperative
The cooperative Die Faire Milch (Le Lait Équitable) was founded in 2018 in Romandie and is part of the European project Die faire Milch under the umbrella of the European Milk Board. The open cooperative is open to milk producers from all over Switzerland who commit to complying with defined production criteria. The goal is cost-covering remuneration of the producers with a fair price of CHF 1.- per liter of milk. The milk is collected and processed by the processor Cremo into UHT whole milk (3.5 % fat), partially skimmed milk (1.5 % fat) and additive-free coffee cream, and distributed via points of sale, Petit Crémier and the Moléson SA cheese dairy. Home delivery is now handled via the Robin des fermes platform. The head office is located in Lausanne; to support the project, the support association ASLE also exists.
