GenSys GmbH, headquartered in Wismar, plans, engineers and manufactures modularized systems for the supply of large engines. The portfolio includes media distributor modules, marine and offshore modules for all vessel types, power plant systems for land-based engine power plants, and customer-specific special systems. The company offers all services from a single source: 3-D design, PLC control engineering, manufacturing of the plants and systems including controls, procurement of components and complete logistics, location-independent delivery, on-site assembly and commissioning, documentation, and classification approval including functional acceptance testing. Customers include large engine manufacturers, power plant planners and power plant operators. Originally active in the marine business as mas- maritime assembly systems GmbH, the know-how was transferred to land-based power plants in cooperation with engine manufacturers; in 2014 the company was renamed GenSys. Through subsidiaries and offices in Singapore, Shanghai and Istanbul, the group is internationally positioned.
