About GeoCollect
GeoCollect GmbH was founded in Chemnitz in 2012 and is a provider of shallow geothermal solutions. The company manufactures patented heat collectors that extract shallow geothermal energy from the ground and, with the aid of a heat pump, use it to heat and cool buildings. A string of ten collectors requires only around 7 m² of surface area and, depending on soil conditions, achieves an extraction capacity of about one kilowatt. In addition to manufacturing the collectors, GeoCollect handles the planning and dimensioning of geothermal systems, installation, and handover of the systems – all from a single source, in new builds as well as existing buildings. The collectors can be combined with other systems, such as PVT systems that store surplus heat in the ground. Fields of application range from single- and multi-family homes to residential quarters, commercial and industrial buildings, and public facilities such as schools, fire stations and sports facilities.
