About us
Georg Huber Betonsteine GmbH in Altomünster near Dachau is a family business in existence since 1905, dedicated to the development and production of concrete products across five generations. The product range includes patio slabs, decorative and functional paving, permeable paving for water-permeable traffic areas, wall systems, edgings, step and slope stabilization systems, and drainage elements; granite products are also traded. The stones are made from cement and quality-monitored aggregates, and since 2024 selected products have been made with recycled crushed stone. Surface finishing is achieved through pressing with shaped pressure plates, shot blasting for a slip-resistant natural stone look, factory-applied impregnation, and mechanical edge aging. From an order volume of approx. 2,000 square meters, custom-made products are produced according to architects' specifications in shape, color and surface. Customer segments include building owners, planners and architects, the building materials trade, construction companies, and landscaping and gardening contractors.

The company is a member of the "Güteschutz Beton- und Fertigteilwerke Land Bayern e. V."; the quality mark applies to the entire product range. Production and products are externally monitored twice a year and comply with DIN EN 1338, DIN EN 1340 and DIN EN 13198.

History
- 1905
Founded by master builder Stemmer; production of bricks and roof slabs.
- 1910
The business was taken over by the "first" Georg Huber.
- 1936
Continued by the 2nd generation Georg Huber; specialization in bricks.
- 1952
Major fire; followed by reconstruction of the company.
- 1960
Taken over by the third Georg Huber and his wife Maria; focus on concrete hollow blocks and formwork blocks.
- 1990
Taken over by Georg Huber (4th generation); start of production of paving stones and kerbstones.
- 2024
Conversion of a large part of production to solar power (new photovoltaic systems) and use of recycled crushed stone for selected products.
