About GERA Chemie GmbH
Since 1978, GERA Chemie GmbH has been a manufacturer and supplier of products for floor construction. The portfolio comprises screed admixtures (including drying accelerators, retarders and additives for heated and thin-layer screeds), PP and glass-fibre screed fibres, screed anchors, PE construction films, impact sound insulation made of PE foam, perimeter insulation strips and sealing products. Production began in Duisburg with screed admixtures and insulation strips made of paraffinised corrugated cardboard; later, products made of bitumen and PE foams expanded the product range. Through the subsidiary KLEMAFOL GmbH (a 100% subsidiary since 2009 or 2013, respectively), adhesive tapes and die-cut parts made of plastics, metal foils and fabrics are also produced, including electrically conductive levelling shims for raised floor systems. Customers come from the screed and parquet trades, the natural stone layer trade, the construction industry and the packaging industry; reference projects range from airports and stadiums to logistics centres. The products are delivered throughout Europe, including directly to construction sites, and are available as branded or private-label articles. The company has been headquartered in the harbour area of Mülheim an der Ruhr since 2008.
