About Geratherm Medical AG
Geratherm Medical AG is a listed medical technology group headquartered in Geratal (Thuringia), whose origins date back to thermometer production in the Thuringian Forest around 1900. The group develops and produces medical solutions at five sites in Germany, including mercury-free analogue and digital clinical thermometers with Galinstan®, glass tubes and precision capillaries made of thermometer glass I-860, devices for spirometry and lung function diagnostics, and MR-compatible incubator systems. The entire value chain from glass blank to finished device is kept within the group; glass production takes place in the company's own glass melting plant, commissioned in 2019. With annual revenue of around €27.5 million, Geratherm exports 82% of its products to more than 60 countries. In addition to the Geratal site, the group comprises Geratherm Respiratory (Bad Kissingen), LMT Medical Systems (Lübeck), Sensor Systems (Steinbach-Hallenberg) and a sales office in Brazil.
