Family business for four generations
Gerd Ackermann e.K. from Alpen-Veen on the Lower Rhine is a family-run timber construction business, founded in the 19th century as a joinery and carpentry firm and now in its fourth generation. The ten-person team of carpenters, joiners, journeymen, master craftsmen and engineers produces customised solutions from all areas of timber construction: roof structures and dormers, staircases, furniture, interior fittings as well as complete buildings and extensions in timber frame construction. The material is wood, which is processed in the company's own joinery and timber fabrication hall. The range of services covers everything from overall planning through manufacturing and assembly to completion of the object — a complete service from a single source; a focus lies on refurbishment, renovation and modernisation. As a chamber-affiliated business, the company trains joiners and carpenters and is based at the company headquarters at Thorenstraße 4, 46519 Alpen-Veen.
