About Gerd Eisenblätter
Gerd Eisenblätter GmbH, based in Geretsried near Munich, has been a manufacturer of grinding and polishing technology for surface treatment for over 50 years. The product range includes hand-held machines such as angle grinders, angle polishers, satinizing and linear grinding machines (POLY-PTX, VARILEX), pipe belt grinders (ROHR MAX, TOPRAIL), belt files (BAND-IT), multi-function and deburring machines, and stationary chamfering machines (ROLEI). The company also manufactures its own abrasives: flap discs, fibre discs, cutting and roughing discs, non-woven and polishing discs, abrasive sleeves, wheels and belts. Eisenblätter invented the first zirconia-based flap disc and the hand-held linear grinding machine in the 1970s; the products are protected by more than 80 patents and intellectual property rights. In its in-house laboratory, raw materials and batches are tested, and flap discs are tested daily on grinding robots. The products are distributed via a webshop, 36 national sales representatives and trading partners to customers such as Airbus, BMW, Mercedes-Benz, Siemens and Thyssenkrupp.
