Gerhardi AluTechnik GmbH in Lüdenscheid manufactures custom aluminium extruded profiles – from the initial idea through technical design to production-ready manufacturing. The company extrudes profiles in various alloys and strengths with weights up to 10,000 g/m and profile diameters up to 220 mm within tight tolerance requirements. The value chain includes sawing, deburring, CNC milling, punching, drilling, bending and straightening as well as surface finishing through anodising, brightening, powder coating, brushing, grinding, polishing and chrome plating. In addition, welding, joining and assembly into finished products are offered. Customers include the automotive, construction and engineering, electronics, decorative components (furniture manufacturing, interior design, shop fitting), mechanical and apparatus engineering, and medical technology industries. The processes – from billet heating in gas and induction furnaces through extrusion to the automatic packaging line – are coordinated and automated. Specialised in aluminium since 1920, the family-run company founded in 1796 is backed by the WILMS Group.
