About GERLING
GERLING Automation GmbH in Aspach (Baden-Württemberg) develops, manufactures and distributes equipment for tool production worldwide, including machines for grinding, tension rolling, blasting, brazing, polishing, marking and quality control of carbide- and diamond-tipped circular and band saws, dowel drills, router bits, stone saws and circular knives. The sister company GERLING GmbH Maschinenbau has been producing special-purpose machines and assembly automats since 1984, primarily for the automotive supplier industry, including transfer systems, robot cells, machine linking and rotary indexing automats. The value chain covers design on 3D CAD workstations, parts manufacturing on CNC machines, electrical engineering, software development, assembly, commissioning and customer service with remote maintenance. Steel base bodies as well as carbide, PKD (polycrystalline diamond) and Stellite cutting edges are processed. Since 2010 there has been a worldwide sales cooperation with the grinding machine manufacturer VOLLMER from Biberach; GERLING is a member of the VDMA.

Quality
Quality control is carried out, among other things, by optical measurement of the saw blade tooth geometry (GQS/GQSE, 100% inspection), axial runout, radial runout and tension measurement (GSPM/GSPME) as well as brazed joint strength tests; special-purpose machines employ tactile and optical measurement, leak, strength and eddy current testing.
