German Imaging Technologies (GIT) is a vertically integrated manufacturer in the printing consumables sector based in Dubai. The company was founded in Germany in 1993 and relocated its operations to Dubai in 1999, where toner cartridges are manufactured and remanufactured at the production facility in Umm Ramool – according to its own statements, the only toner production in the Middle East. In the core process, used original HP cartridge shells are fully disassembled, worn components are replaced, the cartridges are filled with the company's own precision toner formulations and tested. Every cartridge is tested before delivery in the quality control laboratory of the Dubai production facility; GIT states a defect rate of under 1% and 5–10% higher page yield than HP original cartridges. Every MPS device goes through the same inspection process at the Dubai facility before delivery.
