About German Orbital Systems
German Orbital Systems GmbH is a Berlin-based space company that has been active in the German NewSpace landscape since 2014. The company offers turnkey solutions for satellite missions, including mission design, satellite platforms (3U, 6U and 16U CubeSats), satellite components, assembly and testing, as well as satellite operations. The platforms follow the NewSpace philosophy based on a modular system of COTS components, whose subsystems are selected from the company's own portfolio or a partner network according to customer and payload requirements. The design comprises a software-defined core, redundantly designed converters and switches, modularity for up to 20 small PCB-based payloads or a 4U payload block, and an autonomous scheduler for the payload duty cycle. The 3U (D-STAR ONE) and 6U (RAVEN) platforms have TRL9 with flight heritage, while the 16U platform (SLOT) is at TRL7. Satellite missions can be ready for launch within six months of contract signing.
