About G. Plogmann
Gertrud Plogmann is a sole proprietorship founded in 1993 in Schmitt on the Moselle that combines metalworking with the trading of machines, tools, operating equipment and standard parts. In its own workshop, clamps to DIN 6314 with in-house developed stepped jaws are produced, along with clamp pads including round supports, T-slot bars in lengths of 100 to 330 mm, cross slide units and chuck flanges to DIN 800. In addition, coolant spray systems of the NORA brand are serviced, and custom one-off production and contract machining work is carried out. Production is based on conventional machines such as a boring mill, lathe, tool milling machines, slotting machine and cold circular saw; steel (including C45), cast iron, aluminium and plastics are machined. Sales take place via the company's own online shop with an inventory management system, and since 2002 via eBay. Small series are currently being produced; the company is looking for a successor for the workshop, the property and the trading business.

Materials and Processes
Tempering steel C45 +C EN 10277/10278
Bright-drawn tempering steel with a tensile strength of approx. 650–800 N/mm² for clamps, clamp pads and stepped jaws.
St37 (structural steel)
Used for in-house fabrications such as plate parts of coolant systems.
Cast iron
Base material for vice bodies and chuck flanges to DIN 800.
Aluminium
Used for handwheels, which are mostly machined on the slotting machine.
Polyethylene
Material for the tanks of coolant systems.
