About GERWAH
GERWAH GmbH from Großwallstadt develops and manufactures high-precision shaft couplings and shaft-hub connections for drive technology. The portfolio includes torsionally flexible elastomer jaw couplings (GWE) with nominal torques up to 2,000 Nm, torsionally rigid metal bellows couplings (GWB) made of stainless steel up to 5,000 Nm, and steel lamina couplings (TND) with lamina packs made of stainless spring steel up to 130,000 Nm. The program is complemented by the S-Line series (a combination of metal bellows coupling and plug-in connection), frictional shrink discs (Smart-Lock), intermediate shafts, and permanent magnet couplings and brakes (PETER®). The backlash-free and maintenance-free couplings are used particularly in servo systems, linear drives and high-speed drives as well as in general mechanical and plant engineering. Since its acquisition by the Swedish VBG Group in 2009, GERWAH has been part of RINGFEDER Power Transmission; the coupling series are now marketed under the RINGFEDER® brand.

Materials & Products
Elastomer jaw couplings GWE
Torsionally flexible, plug-in servo insert couplings with interchangeable elastomer spider elements of various hardnesses, backlash-free up to 2,000 Nm.
Metal bellows couplings GWB
Torsionally rigid, wear-free couplings with high-quality stainless steel metal bellows up to 5,000 Nm.
Steel lamina couplings TND
Torsionally rigid disc couplings with lamina packs made of stainless spring steel up to 130,000 Nm; shaft-hub connection via keyway or shrink disc.
Stainless steel
Material for metal bellows and lamina packs as well as variants of the elastomer couplings.
Shrink discs Smart-Lock
Frictional shaft-hub connections made of steel whose concept reduces spare parts logistics costs.
Permanent magnet couplings and brakes
Wear-free couplings and brakes based on permanent magnet materials.
Safety couplings (discontinued)
Safety couplings DMK/L, DMK/LL, DMK/E, DMK/DK made of hardened steel with disengagement torques from 1.2 to 1,600 Nm; production discontinued after the Ringfeder acquisition.
