GESTA Gesellschaft für Elektronische Steuerungs- und Antriebstechnik mbH is an owner-managed system house for automation technology headquartered in Lauf a. d. Pegnitz with a branch office in Giebelstadt. The entire assembly process is geared to quality – from incoming goods inspection and visual inspections during assembly to comprehensive testing under operating conditions. History
- 1981
Company founded by Josef Raab and Fred Kempf in Nuremberg; focus on hardware developments in 19" technology, electrical systems with PLCs, controls for the wire industry, positioning and CNC controls.
- 1989
Start of the partnership with Danfoss Drives; GESTA becomes an authorized system partner for frequency converters and soft starters including maintenance, repair and spare parts service.

Relocation to Lauf a. d. Pegnitz and establishment of the in-house control cabinet construction for highly available switchgear assemblies.
