gesund arbeiten GmbH is an Austrian manufacturer of ergonomic office chairs with its registered office and production in Bergheim near Salzburg. Founded in 2008, initially as the sales arm of the office chairs of gesund arbeiten gmbH Deutschland, the company started its own production in 2010. Every swivel chair ordered is manufactured individually according to the customer's personal configuration wishes: components, molded parts and screws are assembled by hand, the base frames are fitted, and every chair is thoroughly tested in production before shipping. The upholstery materials include Austrian respectively Styrian Loden and 100 % virgin wool. The product range includes the models new.motion, motion.plus and Edition Steiner1888 as well as, since 2025, additional products such as HOXTER Flex, HOXTER Move, HOXTER Med and HOXTER Kiga. Customers include companies of all industries and sizes as well as more than 800 Austrian municipalities and public authorities; in 17 years, over 19,000 office chairs have been delivered. Services include consultation, 14 days of free trial use, a repair service and delivery within 1–2 days.
