About Getreidemühle Zwiefalten eG
The Getreidemühle Zwiefalten eG is a registered cooperative based in Zwiefalten (district of Reutlingen, Baden-Württemberg). It was founded in 1910 by farmers from the surrounding municipalities to jointly buy and sell grain and agricultural products; later an in-house bakery was added. In 1912, the cooperative decided to establish an electricity supply for Zwiefalten. Over time, the milling operation was discontinued, and the focus shifted to supplying electricity to the core municipality. Today, the company focuses exclusively on the energy market: it offers electricity tariffs for households, commerce and industry, operates the electricity grid of the core municipality of Zwiefalten, generates electricity via hydropower at the Zwiefalter Aach, and runs an electric charging station for e-cars and e-bikes in the Zwiefalten Dobeltal valley. The green electricity tariff gmz.NaturStrom is audited annually by an independent assessor. The business office is located at Hauptstraße 40 in Zwiefalten.
