Gexx Aviation GmbH is an aviation service provider based in Zossen near Berlin, specialising in aviation consulting, leasing & finance and MRO. The know-how is based on the company's own fleet, currently a B737-700 (D-AGEC), which is dry leased to Air Berlin. Company History
- 2003
Founding of Germania Express GmbH as a low-cost carrier by the airline Germania under the leadership of Dr Hinrich Bischoff; purchase, overhaul and operation of 19 Fokker 100 aircraft, 14 of them under the 'gexx' brand.
- 2005
Merger of the flight operations under the 'gexx' brand with dba (formerly Deutsche BA). Start of marketing dry leasing services with its own B737-700 aircraft.
- 2010
Separation from the airline Germania by the Bischoff-Lafrentz family and renaming to Gexx GmbH; repositioning as an integrated aviation service provider (consulting, leasing & finance, MRO).
- 2011
Founding of the subsidiary Gexx aeroSol GmbH for solar project development.

Successful placement of its own B737-700 (D-AGER) as part of a portfolio optimisation.
