About GFM
GFM specializes in converting special-purpose machines for the automated processing of web and roll material. Its range of services extends from individual handling or processing modules for existing lines to retrofits and conversions through to turnkey systems running from roll to finished product. Processes include unwinding and rewinding with flying splice change, longitudinal and cross cutting, folding (cross fold, length fold, side-push fold), laminating, embossing and perforating, sealing and liquid application, as well as web guidance and web tension control with optical inline inspection and integrated end processing including cartoning. The machines process nonwovens, paper, films and coated webs, fiber- and cellulose-based materials, textiles as well as laminates and composites at working widths up to 4,000 mm, web speeds up to 400 m/min and material thicknesses from 0.02 to 5 mm. Customers come from medical technology, hygiene and care, filtration, food and sustainable packaging. With over 40 years in converting machinery, GFM has realized more than 1,000 projects in Europe, Asia and America; development, design and manufacturing take place under one roof, and the company is a member of the VDMA.
