About GfS
Founded in 1984, GFS Gesellschaft für Stromversorgungstechnik mbH develops and manufactures battery-supported power supply systems for safety-critical applications. The product portfolio includes industrial rectifiers in thyristor and PWM/IGBT versions, IGBT inverters, industrial UPS systems, AC/DC distribution boards, battery connection units, BSV systems for hospitals, central and group battery systems for safety lighting as well as traction chargers and charging management systems for drive batteries. All products are conceived, developed and manufactured in-house; the power and control electronics as well as the device series are created by the company's own design department. At the main plant in Gottenheim, electronics development, control cabinet construction and final assembly take place; the GfS Elektro GmbH branch in Pößneck produces traction chargers, transformers up to 250 kVA and its own control cabinet system. The systems are assembled ready for connection on site, commissioned and accompanied through acceptance testing. The solutions are used in power plants, rail technology, the automotive industry, chemicals, mining, oil and gas, hospitals and building technology. The quality management system is certified to DIN EN ISO 9001.
