About Giacometto
Giacometto Transport AG is a transport and disposal company with locations in Oberdorf SO and Attiswil in the canton of Solothurn. The family business, founded in 1917 by Giorgio Giacometto, offers transports of all kinds, including skip transports with Welaki and roll-off systems, hooklift and crane truck transports, thermosilo transports, transports with tandem trailers, tipper and heavy-duty transports. The skip service includes skips and containers from 4 to 40 m³ as well as press skips and press containers for industrial customers. The sister company Giacometto Steinbruch GmbH operates its own Weberhüsli quarry in Oberdorf and supplies Jurassic marl, Jura and granite blocks as well as crushed and processed materials such as concrete, brick and asphalt granulates directly ex works. The range of services also includes disposal with disposal concepts for companies, recycling, house clearances and rental. Customers include BLS AG and PORR Suisse AG; in 2024, Giacometto took over supply and disposal for the renovation of the Weissenstein tunnel until May 2026.
