About GICON
GICON-Großmann Ingenieur Consult GmbH is the founding company of the GICON Group, established in Dresden in 1994 — a network of internationally active, independent engineering service providers with 23 locations in Germany and several international sites. Around 650 employees have handled more than 11,000 projects over more than 30 years. The service portfolio covers plant planning, construction planning including BIM-compliant 5D planning with REVIT, environmental and permitting planning, ecosystem studies, management of groundwater and surface waters, geotechnics and mining as well as soil protection and technical information systems. Key focuses include energy concepts such as photovoltaics, onshore wind farm planning, biogas using the two-stage GICON biogas process and microalgae in the GICON photobioreactor, as well as maritime services such as wind engineering and the floating foundation GICON-SOF. With its accredited groundwater laboratory (Migration Laboratory), publicly appointed and sworn experts, energy auditors and the GICON height wind turbine, the company combines research, planning and implementation for a resource-conserving approach to the environment and energy.

Processes and Technologies
BIM-compliant 5D planning with REVIT
3D modeling combined with schedule and cost calculation for seamless construction project organization.
GICON®-SOF floating wind energy foundation (TLP)
Germany's first floating platform for wind turbines, further developed in partnership with the US engineering firm Glosten.
GICON® photobioreactor for microalgae
Two-stage process for CO2 capture and microalgae cultivation, among other things as the PBR Octagon in Cottbus.
CoCheck-ComplianceCheck
In-house developed plant management software, used by around half of the asphalt mixing plants in Germany.
Two-stage GICON biogas process
Used, among other places, at the production and service center in Cottbus and at the Harvest Power Energy Garden in Richmond, Canada.
