About Giesemann

Giesemann Lichttechnik und Aquaristik GmbH has been developing and producing professional lighting systems since 1992 for zoos, public aquariums, aquaculture, terraristics, animal and plant breeding, and scientific institutions. The portfolio includes LED luminaires, T5 luminaires and lamps as well as tailored, individually manufactured lighting solutions. The entire hardware and software development, electronics manufacturing and handcrafted assembly of the luminaires take place at the company's own production and development facility in Nettetal, Germany. Robust, seawater-resistant aluminium is used as the material. The products are designed to be repairable; individual LED modules can be retrofitted or replaced. Reference customers include Zurich Zoo, Tiergarten Schönbrunn, Senckenberg Museum, Monterey Bay Aquarium, Max Planck Institutes as well as companies such as BASF and EnBW. Since 2024 the company has been a Full Support Member of the EUAC association.
